I adopted the phrase "Art Makes No Apologies" back in 2021. I had moved from my hometown in Phoenix Arizona; where I faced a lot of public backlash for my art, to the inclusive and diverse San Francisco. In my 5 years of living in California, I aimed to explore art that represented MY emotions, MY story, My journey; and for that I make no apologies...
I am now a master of my trade, with an MFA from Academy of Art University, and a certified Educator for the Arts (Including Master of my Subject Certification)
I find it NOW immensely important to produce art in the future that my students and families can enjoy collectively. To me, this is temporary. A way for my students to be able to finally see work that is appropriate to them, and that I've hidden under my pen-name.
One day, I will journey back to full expression, the world of Artistic Freedom.
